A warm feel is added to your home when you use the color red and what
better place to feel the warmth than in the bathroom. Red works
surprisingly well in the bathroom.
You may want to go bold with bright red walls or be more subdued with just red decorative items as accents.
If
you want a modern appearance paint the walls a bright ruby red and use
with cool stainless steel fixtures. Gray, silver, and black furnishings
and fixtures work well with red to give the room an elegant appearance.
You
can purchase glassy look wall tiles in red or a vanity top in glossy
red to cheer up the room. Lighting the room with a red hanging pendant
also gives a pop of color.
If you prefer a less dramatic effect,
use red occasionally as accent pieces to warm up a neutral room. Red
patterned shower curtains, towels, window curtains, or wall hangings can
give the same feeling of warmth to the room in a less obvious way.
Country
style bathrooms look great mixing colonial red accents with brick,
white, beige, brown or gray. A red bathroom rug, red candle on the
vanity, and red cabinet or chair give the room a homey appeal. Frame the
mirror or pictures with red.
Red goes well with many colors as
well so finding your color scheme is fairly easy and fun. You could make
a fun bathroom for the kids using red and other primary colors in your
decor. Or add more warm colors like orange and yellow with the red to
create a color filled room.
Red bathroom interiors add a warm and homey feel in many styles of decor.
